Your Guide to Hair, Style & Confidence

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 August 2026.

This policy explains what information hairfeatures.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address. If you email us, we hold that correspondence. If commenting is enabled and you leave a comment, we store the name, email address and comment you submit, along with your IP address for spam filtering.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records standard technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the pages you view. This is used for security and to understand which articles are useful.

We do not collect payment details, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for essential functions such as remembering that you have submitted a comment, and for caching so pages load faster. If you subscribe to the newsletter, our email provider may set a cookie to avoid showing you the signup form repeatedly.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies aside, the site will still work.

Third parties we rely on

Hostinger hosts this website, which means our server logs sit with them. MailerLite handles our newsletter, so subscriber email addresses are stored on their systems. Google Fonts serves the typefaces used across the site; because the fonts load from Google servers, your IP address is visible to Google when a page loads.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy, and we would encourage you to read them if that matters to you.

How long we keep things

Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that follow-up replies still make sense. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful, and then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email — no need to ask us.

For anything else, email us and we will action it.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged to newsletter subscribers.
